Important Update: New Patient Portal Starts in January

AbleTo is now part of Optum Behavioral Care. As part of this change, there are updates to how you schedule and cancel appointments. Please read the details below.

Starting January 2026, we will use a new platform called Athenahealth to manage your appointments. See the guide below to help you get started.

How to join your appointments

Step 1: Register for the Athenahealth Patient Portal

  • See the full guide here.

Step 3: Prepare for Your Virtual Visit

Helpful Tips

  • Bookmark the Athenahealth Patient Portal for easy access after you receive your email or SMS invitation from AbleTo (part of Optum Behavioral Care).
  • If you have issues signing up, contact us at 1-866-287-1802 (TTY: 711),
    Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–8:00 PM ET.

How can I reschedule appointments?

Starting January 2026, please cancel or reschedule your session at least 48 hours in advance. Weekends and holidays do not count toward the 48-hour notice period. This allows us to offer the slot to someone else who may need care.

You can keep using your AbleTo account to manage appointments until December 27, 2025.

How to Cancel or Reschedule Sessions:

  • Call 1-866-287-1802 (TTY: 711) Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm ET

  • Log into the New Patient Portal – Coming Soon
Starting in the new year, you’ll manage your sessions through our new patient portal. We’ll email you instructions before your next appointment.

  • Click the link in your appointment reminder email and log in to the new patient portal to make changes.

Late Fees: What You Need to Know

If you cancel late or miss your session, you may need to pay a fee. The fee depends on your program and your insurance.

If you signed a card-on-file form, we will charge your card. If not, you will get a bill and may need to pay at your next session. If this is your first session, or if there is an emergency, you may not have to pay the fee.

Will I still have access to the AbleTo app and its content?

Starting December 28, 2025, the app will no longer be available.

If your health plan covers our services, you can schedule therapy or coaching sessions by visiting the Optum Behavioral Care website.
